Why A Godly Family?

THE FAMILY is a divine part of God's plan. Fundamentally, families are the building block of strong societies. Biblically, the most important purpose of the family is to raise a 'godly heritage'—to fill the earth with:

 God-fearing,

 Morally-mature,

 Emotionally-sound,

 Spiritually-oriented,

 Righteousness-seeking,

 Selfless-serving,

God-worshiping young people who, in turn, will do the same after they become parents.

Families are where we can know the true God, we can experience His love and learn how to love others. Life is tough, and we need people we can lean on and are dependable and godly.

Prophet Malachi intoned,

"But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks GODLY OFFSPRING. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth." (Mal. 2:15)

Clearly, we see God's good plan for families transcend the physical. Through marriage, he brings men and women together to create brand-new families (Genesis 2:23). He gives children as a gift (Psalm 127:3). And through Jesus Christ, God makes a way for all of us to be part of His Family in an eternally growing Kingdom (1 John 3:1). | RDH
