Walk the Way

HOW ARE we to walk our Christian life? By the same high spiritual road Christ's disciples did. They heard God's voice through Jesus, believed Him and followed on His footsteps.

Jesus the Living Word says: “I am the WAY, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

This kind of road, the apostle Paul later told everyone is called "the Way":

"But when some were hardened and did not believe, but spoke evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them..." (Acts 19:9)

What kind of Way is this? Christ's own word says:

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)

What does Scripture say about 'the Way'?

“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to WALK in all His WAYS and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. For if you carefully keep all these Commandments and statutes which I command you TO DO—to love the LORD your God, to WALK in all His WAYS, and to hold fast to Him…” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13)

What type of 'walking' is required?

This type of walking in the NT is called "Walking in the Spirit" (See: Galatians 5:16; Romans 8:4).

The apostle John put it more firmly, "And this is love: that we WALK in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you WALK IN LOVE" (2 John 1:16).

So, are you ready for the most important trek of your life?

...On to God's kingdom!

"But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a City for them." (Hebrews 11:16) #theWay
