It's Our Job!

The Scripture is clear, it is our job to preach the Gospel of God's Kingdom (Mark 1:15; Matt. 21:43)

This Commission is for all times (Matt.28:18-20; Matt. 24:14).

If they won't listen to the Word, it's not your loss. Just move on. Remember what Jesus said,

"And if anyone will not welcome you or heed your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town" (Matt. 10:14).

This is a tough job to do. Jesus was even more emphatic:

"'Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law agains

t her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’" (Matt.10:34-36)

Nevertheless, we are to make God's salvation and Christ's power of the Kingdom known. Here's how to do it:

1. We are to make public our profession of faith (John 7:4; Matt.10:32; Mark 16:15-16)

2. We keep God's holy laws and Commandments (John 14:21; 1 John 5:2-3).

3. We keep and proclaim God's Feasts or Appointed times (Leviticus 23; John 7).

4. We are to preach Christ's offer of salvation through His atoning blood (Matt. 9:26 & 9:31).

5. We are to teach and make disciples (Matt. 28:20; 2 Tim. 2:2).

6. We are to bear spiritual fruit; exercise the pure religion--to care for the afflicted, widows and orphans ( John 15:16; Gal. 5:22-23; James 1:27).

7. We are to witness and testify (Matt.24:14; Rev.12:17), watch and pray for the ultimate coming of God's kingdom (Mark 13:33; Luke 21:34-36)

----------

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you" (John 15:18-25/NIV).
