Gra-Attitude

WE'RE all familiar with the phrase, “Have an attitude of gratitude.” While it might be easy enough to say it, what exactly does it mean, and how do we live it out?

Developing an attitude of thankfulness is so much more than just a basic expression of saying, "thank you, God!" It’s more about being intentional and concious in what we do so that God is always glorified—in all things and at all times.

The truth is, giving God our thanks is all about the attitude (mindset) and quality of our heart/mind. Regardless of what we feel at any given circumstances, giving God our praise in everything, opens up a sense of His presence and see how He is moving in our lives. It allows us to let go of all the things we are trying to control and submit our lives to the One that controls everything.

So, from the great monumental things that God blesses us with, to the minuscule things that we often take for granted, let’s be awed in His works and be filled with an attitude of gratitude!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
